The 2013 Southern Horse Festival is in it's fourth year will be held this year in Raleigh at the Hunt Horse Complex Nov. 22-24.This year it has continued to grow by leaps and bounds to include a Miss Southern Horse Festival and Junior Miss Southern Horse Festial pageant, About a dozen clinics, three horse shows, three trail challenges, dancin in the dirt,  and more......

With the opening of the Southeastern Agriculture Center, Pavillion this spring the North Carolina Horse Council saw a need to get involved to help this center raise the necessary funding it needs to build stalls. Given the location of this center on I95 and US 74 it has tremendous potential to grow North Carolina's equine industry. All it needs are stalls and horsemen and women just like us to have our events there.

The North Carolina Horse Council decided to have a new edition of the Southern Horse Festival in Lumberton at the Southeastern Ag Center to help them raise money for their stalls. We are calling this edition the "Cowboy Up" part of the festival. We will have 4D sanctioned barrel racing, Ranch Sorting and Roping. Our 2013 event is scheduled for May 17-19. As with the Williamston show you can click on the tabs above to get all the highlights of this festival. All profits from this festival will be held by the North Carolina Horse Council Foundation and used as necessary for construction of these stalls. You can donate directly to this project by sending us a check today, payable to the NC Horse Council Foundation and marked for Lumberton. There are also various sponsorship opportunities available.
